Christian wins “Ultimate Stylist” at the Salon Business Awards 2017

Christian Wiles scooped ‘The Ultimate Stylist’ at the Salon Business Awards 2017 on Monday 26th June 2017.

It was time to celebrate for the Christian Wiles Salon Group when Christian Wiles scooped the highly acclaimed Ultimate Stylist Award at the prestigious Salon Business Awards 2017 held late June.

Christian and the teams from the Christian Wiles Salon Group in Northampton joined over 200 guests at the elite Century Club, in the heart of Soho on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue for the presentation.

It followed months of anticipation after submitting entries for the judging panel, which included a  some of the most respected and in demand hairdressing professionals in the UK.  2016 saw Christian Wiles Traditional Gentleman’s Grooming scoop Best Male Grooming Salon Award and once again they were up as finalists in this category too.

Christian said of the win: “It was amazing to have been nominated for such a prolific award but to go on and win ‘The Ultimate Stylist 2017’ is just fantastic.  Being recognised for my contribution to British Hairdressing means so much to me as an individual stylist and also adds great commercial value to The Christian Wiles Salon Group. Thank you to Salon Business & the judges for the recognition – I’m absolutely delighted!”

With canapés and an abundance of aperitifs on offer on the exclusive rooftop terrace, the finalists were in good spirits to celebrate the most outstanding business models, stunning salon design, first class education, strong teamwork and much more over the past 12 months.

As the sun went down, guests were invited downstairs to the Green Room where exposed brick walls, decorative lighting and solid wood floors created a warming atmosphere.

It was here that Joanne Charlton, Publishing Editor of Salon Business, introduced the awards to an excitable crowd, eager to hear who had wowed the judges.

“Each and every finalist helped to make the awards what they are today, ensuring the bar is raised year upon year. They certainly gave the judges a tough job, and now it is time to announce the awards,” said Joanne.  The announcement of Christian’s prolific win followed.

Once the awards were over, DJ Krystal Roxx created the entertainment all the way from Ibiza, while those looking for a more chilled out close to their evening headed back up to the roof terrace to enjoy the warm evening breeze.

Speaking after the awards Joanne said: “It was a huge success and a great atmosphere. There was a great blend of networking with fellow peers, having fun and of course celebrating the winners – all of whom were truly deserving with phenomenal entries of an extremely high standard. We hope to see them and the finalists back next year along with a host of new entries.”
